very clean, the room was very nice. Our hosts were super friendly and breakfast was amazing.
Location
It was a little difficult to find. They emailed me a map and there are signs but the signs are easy to miss. When you get to Inverness, go over the bridge and turn right immediately. We missed the turn and had to turn around but it wasn't too bad. Once there though, the area is beautiful. We walked down to the falls and took some pictures. There are many hiking trails around and it is very near Loch Ness. The drive to get there is lovely as well.

Fern cottage is ideally situated just 150m from the West Highland Way. The accommodation is superb, we had a huge delightful twin bedroom with full sized well equiped ensuite.Even a foot spa was provided, what a treat after a 16 mile walk. We had sole use of the lounge which is also where breakfast is served at the bay window with stunning views.Included was transport into the village for an evening meal at the excellent local pub.

Magnífico. Todo estupendo, la habitación, la limpieza, el desayuno y sobre todo la simpatía de Ann y Matthew. La única pega, por decir algo, es que es un poco complicado encontrar el sitio, aunque con las coordenadas y un gps no hay mayor problema. Thank you for all Ann and Matthew, we hope to come back as soon as possible!

Excellent accomodation, the best we ever had!! This covers every aspect: standard of the room, value for money, hospitality, facilities, breakfast not to speak of the warm-hearted atmosphere the hosts create. The location is a dream, phantastic view into the Scottish mountains during breakfast and from the room, just a few hundred yards from the Loch Ness shore.
Location
Location is excellent for visiting most highlights of the Highlands. Drum and St.Augustus - both suitable for starting Loch Ness excursions - are very close. Inverness is a 45 minutes trip by car, Fort William an hour. Fern Cottage itself is a little tricky to be found, as Invermoriston is not known by many navigation systems. You may have more luck with "Glenmoriston" which seems to be the same location. Once in Invermoriston watch out for the "Dalcataig" sign.

The foyer waterfall on the otherside of Loch Ness was geat and the walking there too
