Excellent location, both for the beautiful gardens and river across the street and the easy walking distance to underground and bus transportation. The laundry facility (price included) was well used. The kitchen and bathroom were a nice size for an efficiency apartment, though the main room and the bed were small. The temperature in the room was comfortable between the ability to open the window and the efficient radiator heat. The room was a much better value for the money than the local hotels my colleagues stayed in.
Location
Easy food shopping with a market around the corner and a nice sized grocery 7 minute walk away as well as a local fruit and veg market. Byers St. had some excellent restaurants and a friendly pub at the corner. The Hillhead subway station links up with public transportation to any of the Glasgow venues and museums. The Botanic Gardens, across the street from the Embassy apartments, provided a lovely place to walk and birdwatch and chat with the locals.

We absolutely love apartment 9 - it is spacious clean and comfortable. We especially like not having to feed the electricity meter this (our second) time. Also, the receptionists was extremely friendly and helpful. Although we didnŽt meet other staff, it is not hard to apprecieate their dedication and pleasant ways.

Gosh! Where do we start? Having spent a few years of my childhood in the Charing Charing and Kelvinside area, and on our recent visits my wife and I having walked the length and breadth of the city I must say, modern Glasgow really is SMILES better. It's beautiful, often stunning architecture and sandstone buildings and acres of park both great and smaŽis a mrvellous place to spend a hollday. We particularly like the convenient travel by sub, bus and trains. However, we do think the subway and it's rolling stock could with a major face lift with more headroom for the gradual increase of the average height of the population. Glasgow is very well served indeed.
