after a very wet walk that certain day on the West Highland Way I was very satisfied to be welcomed by the owners of Elmbank
Location
It was a good place to meet other walkers of the WHW on our way to Balmaha
I shall recommend the address to friends

room standard and value for money were perfectly acceptable, as was location near the West Highland Way and shops / restaurant. Room was clean and tidy and ours had patio access which was a bonus. shower / bathroom was a little small and cheaply furnished...shower fittings seemed fragile!
Breakfast and occasional refreshments (tea etc) plus flask filling were excellent. Dining room is a little small for number of guests.
Host was helpful and locally knowledgeable. Room rate was reasonable.
Location
Sufficient local restaurants and shops. Meal in cafe was good.

Hospitality and helpfulness of the proprietor were excellent. The place was clean and welcoming and I'd certainly recommend it with the following qualifications - rooms were are little cramped, especially in the lower ground floor. Lack of a full Scottish breakfast option was a slight disappointment.
Location
Useful local shop and several places to eat very nearby - a very good stop for those on a walking holiday and not too much of a detour from the West Highland Way. Avoid the Winnock Hotel and eat and drink at the nearby Clachan - more "local" and more reasonably priced.
