The room was beautiful, it was well designed, newly upgraded and comfortable. The breakfasts were great: tasty, large, and well presented. The hospitality was amazing.

Location

We'd go back to Edinburgh in a heartbeat.

Location

A bit far of the center but there is a bus stop near the Guesthouse. It'll take 5 minutes to get to the center and buses come very often.

Standard of room was very good and they were very friendly there. Really a nice place to stay. Food was good as well.

Our hosts were very wonderful! They were available to answer all of our questions and were always very helpful. Our breakfast each morning was very good and their cute, little dining room was very comfortable. Our room was okay - the bathroom was small, and the shower was very difficult to move around in.

Location

Just up the street from the Ellesmere House was the Henricks Bar. We ate there twice. The service was great and very friendly. Everything was within walking distance (ie: Edinburgh Castle, the train station) if you don't mind a little walk.

We had three doublerooms. They all were excellent (calm, clean and a good equipment). The breakfast was outstanding. You could choose between different menus. The welcome was very friendly. The guesthouse was near to the oldtown/newtown.

Location

We have visited the Edinburgh Castle, Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Royal Botanic Garden and Mary King´s Close. It was very interesting. Especially the Royal Mile and the many old pubs are great.

Excellent: Quiet city centre location, good breakfast, friendly hosts. Room for improvement: our bathroom was very small.

A golf course in front of the house (The Meadows)! Nice restaurants nearby.

A great combination of personal service in a private residence and the privacy of a first class hotel room! From the moment I arrived with my daughter on a college visit, Ruth and her husband gave us personal attention and went above and beyond hospitality to help us with our travel needs – particularly with parking our and dealing with our rental car.

Location

Very Very convenient and centrally located while be right on a Park giving the Guest house the feeling of being away from it all.
