Lovely big room with an amazing view of the sea, the house is nicely decorated and spotless. Lots of local info available including maps of the island and books about flora and fauna.

Very easy to access, a short walk from the bus stop on one side and the forest on the other.

My stay at Ellangowan was perfect in every way. My room was beautiful and had outstanding views. The breakfasts were excellent and served at a time convenient to me. Mary, who runs the B&B went the extra mile to make my stay on Arran the best it could possibly be. I recommend Ellangowan very highly and am so glad to have stayed there.

Location

I was only on the Isle of Arran for four days but in that time I did many wonderful walks, one to Glenashdale Falls and another to Seal Bay. I also visited Brodick Castle and the town itself. The grand finale of my visit was my climb to the summit of Goatfell, which was spectactular. I can't wait to come back to do more.
