Great hospitality, lovely breakfast and very easy access to Edinburgh centre. Rooms are on 3rd floor and must be accessed by a rather steep staircase which was no problem for us, but may be for some.

It feels more like staying at home than staying abroad.

Location

You may just walk through the Meadows and are in the town centre. Pretty perfect since you don't need any bus tickets.

The rooms were tidy as was the bathroom. The welcome was so good, and Alison was always willing to help if possible.

Location

Was up in Edinburgh for the fringe festival. Which is good fun and do many options... May be to many. Edinburgh as A city is beautiful city and well worth visiting .

The room was big, bright and clean. The bathroom was clean too, the problem were the other guests who left it dirt. Breakfast was served downstairs and was very very nice with fresh fruit salad and juice, bread, jam, milk etc. The house is very close to the Royal Mile, we just had to work across a nice park to get there, which was a very nice walk. Buses stop nearby the house as well. Alison and Christian are very welcoming and we really felt as at home!

Very good location for walking into festival area, interesting and helpful hosts. Continental breakfast was adequate, shared bathroom was not a problem. Have to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs, a difficulty for some.

Location

National museum of Scotland is outstanding. Edinburgh festival is not for the faint hearted or people who don't like chaos and crowds. Tattoo was outstanding; rent a cushion. Marchmont area very handy and quiet.
