An accomodation with a nice decoration, very clean, a very good breakfast and a very kind hostess. the house is well situated, and there is a bus stop to the city just opposite the house, and the journey takes only 10-15 minutes.

Location

all the city centre

Excellent accommodations, quiet location.. Bus stop in front of house, transit system will get you anywhere you want to go in Edinburgh. Better than using a car, parking hard to come by, traffic very heavy. breakfasts were tasty and filling. Hostess Lynda a very lovely, extremely accommodating and very helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Parking on site. Highly recommend this B&B.

Location

Close to everything. Easy driving distance to Glasgow, St. Andrews and Stirling. Wallace monument, Stirling Castle, Edinburgh Castle, Glasgow and Edinburgh airports. Carvey's Restarant t in Barrhead has good food nice atmosphere. Check out the Kelpies, impressive.

Lynda greets you by name and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The bedrooms are all spotlessly clean roomy, comfortable and contain all the facilities that are required to make a traveller happy. Generously sized en-suites and in one case a private bathroom . Breakfast is a feast with a large choice of cereals,as much toast and marmalade you can eat and the delicious and sustaining Scottish Breakfast!! I would recommend a stay here to anyone, they would be hard pressed to find a fault.

Location

Very good Italian Restaurant "Tony Macaroni" about 5 mins walk away. Ye Olde Inn in Quality Street just a short 41 bus ride away.(the stop is right outside the house) serves good pub-grub and has excellent wine.Try the Haggis its lovely!

Starting on a positive note the parking was good and bus stops into city centre nearby. On a negative note the bedroom and shower room were cold because the heating came on too late and for such a short period during the morning and in the evening. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and the springs could be felt through the sheets. The cooked breakfast was very poor and so we decided not to stay for a second night although we kindly paid for the 2 nights.

Location

Do pay a visit to the Balmoral hotel where the food and service is second to none.

Lynda and her husband were very welcoming and went out of their way to help us find a place to eat after we arrived late the first day. Lynda's breakfasts are wonderful! The room was generally well lit, although the lamps were typical bedside lamps, not quite bright enough for reading, at least not for our older eyes.
