Very comfortable bed, cosy. Room with armchairs great, very good bedside lighting plus accurate bedside clock. facilities excellent. Hosts excellent. Would have ticked outstanding if early breakfast had been more suitable for our diet but we should have discussed it beforehand.

Location

Suited us very well

The location of the guest house was wonderful - a quiet area with a magnificent hilltop view just a few minutes walk away. The breakfast room was indeed small but interesting! Just enough room if we all squeezed in. We enjoyed the food apart from the mushrooms.

Location

We really enjoyed our day on the Isle of Mull. It is best to buy your ferry tickets the night before as the queues in the morning were enormous! If you want to tour the distillery either at Oban or on Mull you need to get in very quickly. The tours book up very fast especially if it is likely to rain. The Ee Usk fish restaurant on the harbour front at Oban is excellent both for its views and the quality of the food. Very popular too. The Coast restaurant on the other hand does not have any views but the food is still excellent. A much quieter atmosphere. We found them both to be very satisfactory although the prices were on the high side. This perhaps reflects the costs of transport to places in Scotland and a holiday destination?

The location and quality of the bedroom and ensuite was good. however, the quality of the food was only average and i was disappointed to see store own brand cereals on offer.

Location

oban is a fantastic place to visit, with plenty of pubs and restaurants to suit everyone. the fact that it was a port meant we could visit the nearby island of mull. as walkers, the opportunities on the nearby island were superb, offering peace and quiet.

Rooms are large and very comfortable. Landlady very friendly with warm heart. Breakfast delicious.

Location

Ideal for daytrips to the islands, visiting the distillery and walking along the coast.

Accommodation was very clean, and Dina was helpful re activities around town. It was a little more expensive for what was offered, in that there was no lounge room to go at end of the day.

Location

10 to 15 mins walk out of town. Beware of ferry trips on Saturday are different to week days and you have to board ferry 30 mins prior to departure times.

I totally enjoyed my stay at Don Muir guesthouse. The location in Oban was excellent, with just a few minutes walk to a viewpoint. The owner was really friendly and the breakfast very nice. The room was comfortable (twin room) and we had two bathrooms, one with bath just outside our room and one with WC and sink in our room. Really good! Coffee and tea facilities splendid and biscuits on the table. On my next stay in Oban I will certainly book Don Muir Guesthouse again.

Location

Walking distance to everything in Oban, bars, nightclubs, Oban Distillery and Mc Caig's Tower. Very close to a viewpoint.

We were very satisfied with the quality of our room; hospitality left nothing to be desired; breakfast was well presented and of high quality. Our hosts were warm, friendly and helpful.

Location

Our visit was made extra special as my dad flew with 10 Sqn RAAF and spent some time in Oban during the winter of 1940/41. To find such an excellent museum relating to Sunderland flying boats was quite a thrill especially as 10 Sqn RAAF featured significantly in the display.
