The room was comfortable and clean.The breakfast was ok but a bit bland. Internal decoration was fine but the external view i.e. garden, pots and window frames left a lot to be disired.If we had not booked in advance we would never have stopped outside

We were aware of Castle Mey and John o Groats but the couple running the guest house were very friendly and helpful

Property from outside needs tarting up. Room standard excellent. Good value for money. Excellent hospitality and excellent breakfast. Recommend.

Contrairement à ce qui est noté sur le site nous n avons pas eu de possibilités de mander sur place ! Mais nous avons pu manger à quelques miles ! Les abords de ce bed and breakfast ne sont pas soignés ! La vue sur la mer promis sur le site est limitée ! De le véranda du petit déjeuner au loin et d une des chambres par le veux au loin ! Réveil par le coq ! Tout à fait acceptable mais décevant par rapport au site ! On est loin de l adresse sauvage seule face à la mer !!

Our room was comfortable and well-equipped. Host was cheerful and informed. Breakfast was typical cooked Scottish breakfast, and the evening meal was simple but good. A fine place to stop if traveling in the far north of Scotland.
Location
We especially enjoyed our visit to the Castle of Mey (home of the Queen Mother), which was nearby.

The proprietors gave us a warm welcome. The rooms were very clean and to a good standard of decoration and adequate for our needs. The food was very good. The accommodation was good value for money.
Location
As we were on a round Scotland tour we neede accommodation for the sights we wanted to see in the vicinity of Creag-Na-Mara, i.e. John O'Groats, Dunnett and Castle Mey.

We received a warm welcome. The room was tastefully decorated. Breakfast was excellent. Host was able to give useful information about the local area.
Location
It was very close to Mey from where the ferries run to the Orkneys so it was a great location. A local pub also served good meals.
