Good value for money. Breakfast very good although the bistro wasn't open when we arrived for eveing meal. We were recommended a pub down the road which was very good. The owner knew we were travelling to Stromness (Orkney) and as the weather was very windy he had checked the ferry company were operating without us asking which was very thoughtful and kind.

Location

Visit to Castle of Mey was great. Informative room guides and all staff very friendly. Indeed we met a Dutch couple in the pub before we visited the castle and they had enjoyed it so much they went two days in a row.

We received a very warm welcome from our hosts, Stuart and Helen. After a refreshing cup of tea in the Conservatory, we went to our room which was so charming. The decor was cozy and inviting-everything was immaculate. We ate breakfast and dinner there for 2 days and were delighted with what we ordered. We would definitely stay there again. Stuart and Helen have a gift for hospitality. An excellent value!

We spent a day in the Orkney's and wished we had allowed more time there. There is so much to see and do.We just got a little taste of it. All of the people we interacted with were wonderful and helpful.
