Would have been excellent but although the host was made aware of the need for an early breakfast We were told breakfast didn't start until 7.30 we needed breakfast at 7am so we were given two rolls with one slice of bacon on each roll and then given what I could only describe as a child's lunch box consisting of crisps a breakfast bar and a carton of Ribena Sorry not what I expect from a b and b of this stature come on 7am is not to early a lovely cooked breakfast would have set us up for a good day

As someone who once worked for a hotel guide (used by the travel trade), I would rate my this property as between 3 and 4, perhaps 3-and-a-half or "Very Good". An exceptional location amid tranquil unspoilt countryside affording impressive views, though the narrow country lanes require careful driving. Easy distance of a range of facilities in Aberfeldy including a sizeable supermarket. It comprises a solid old white-painted house with modern extensions in keeping with its character. It is run by an aimiable and enthusiatic young couple who could offer plentiful advice and ideas. A very homely interior enhanced with fresh flowers includes a large comfortable lounge and airy breakfast room. My room was perfectly adequate and comfortable with plenty of extra touches such as fresh sliced cake. The shower, however had a noisy pump and a ceiling on-off cord that required standing on a chair to make work. Breakfast was a real banquet of fruit, yogurt, cereals and a choice of hot food including a traditional hearty Scottish offering. The breakfast room itself, I noticed was prone to temperature changes and was arguably too small for the potential number of guests, although timed sittings would usually get around this (I was gently advised, one morning, that my table would be shortly required by other guests). On another morning I was ushered away from the prime window tables to a corner table even though I was the first to arrive (the kind of experience not unusual when staying as a single guest). I spent a total of 157 at this property for 4 nights, which I consider to be excellent value for money.

Very comfortable room, excellent friendly service and nothing seemed too much trouble. Excellent food and a good facility having a kitchen for residents to use a meal if necessary. We have been before and would not hesitate to return again.

Location

The countryside around Coshieville is really beautiful, particularly the ride along Glen Lyon. Truly wonderful. Also had good bird watching at the RSPB reserve at Dunkeld.

The room was clean and tidy and facilities were good. The proprietors were friendly and helpful. Superb Scottish breakfast. We felt it was good value for money and would stay again.

Location

We booked this accommodation to go on the Highland Safari nearby. Whilst this was an exhilarating experience for us to be taken by Land Rover above the snowline to the ice covered Loch Glassie we were disappointed that we did not see any wildlife.
