Copper Beech has been a wonderful place to stay. I have recently moved over to Scotland for work and have been staying here until can find a place to live. Norma has been extremely kind and friendly, even to the point of driving me to my new job on the first day!
My room is clean and pleasant, the breakfast in the morning is lovely( even though there is a wide option of breakfast choices she was kind enough to humor my craving for French toast this morning!)
My room is equipt with a flat screen tv, a nice sunny bathroom and comfortable bed with feather quilt and good pillows( very important for a good nights sleep after a busy day).My room is always tidied up and fresh towels changed daily.Good value for money.
Norma has been an excellent host and I am enjoying my stay very much. I don't feel like a paying guest, I feel welcomed like family which is lovely when you are in an unfamiliar place on your own.
Location
Very nice walking/bike track along the ocean only a few minutes walk away. 10 min walk into town centre for nice restaurants and shops. Lovely golf courses all around Troon, within a short walk. Definitely a pleasant seaside town if you want somewhere quiet and relaxing. Good bus and train links if you haven't got a car, 15-20 minutes by bus to Ayr, less than 10 min to Preswick airport. Great train services run frequently to Glasgow and surrounds. Overall a very good base to relax, play golf on some of the best courses in the world or to explore the local area.

This was the best accommodation we had stayed in during the many years we have been travelling to watch the Ladies' Golf Internationals throughout Great Britain and Ireland. Everywhere was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The house is set in beautiful surroundings and the breakfast was excellent. Mrs McLardy and her staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming and we considered it great value for money.
Location
As above. Very convenient for golf.

The hospitality was outstanding, exceptionally good and the breakfast was very good. While the standard of our room was very good, we found it a bit on the small side and we are used to a larger shower. Having said that, we would probably have very similar comments about most of the rooms and showers we encountered in Britain and Ireland, so our comment should in no way be taken as a complaint - merely an observation. We were very satisfied with almost all our accommodation in your part of the world and hope to return sometime next year.
Location
We are both keen golfers and Copper Beech was ideally located for that.
