My single, en-suite room was excellent with superb views over the harbour to the Cuillin Hills. Breakfast was also excellent with a variety of options on offer which must surely have catered for all tastes, however obscure! The dining room was immaculate and the food beautifully presented. The host was the icing on the cake. He was friendly, helpful and keen to ensure that I found suitable places to eat in the evenings, actually walking me through the village on his way to the bank to show me where to find the better restaurants. I could not have been better looked after.

Location

Coolin View's location is superb with panoramic views of the harbour and the Cuillin Hills. I found Portree the perfect centre from which to explore the area, particularly the Cuillin Hills where I spent two days walking. The town itself provided for immediate shopping needs and a good range of restuarants for evening meals and drinks. Hospitality throughout Skye was excellent, warm and welcoming. I came for the beauty and wilderness and found it all but untouched, which was wonderful. Please, please don't change a thing.

The rooms were of a very clean, modern and well equipped, extremely comfortable especially the room I had for the first night which overlooked the harbour. The breakfast was not only plentiful, nutrious and an extreme variety to suit any taste. The hospitality was friendly, helpful and comfortable "nothing was too much trouble".

Location

The habour was a lovely place to be with the facility to go out on a boat and see the Sea Eagle, Seals etc an extremly knowledgeable tour operator with some very interesting facts of local knowledge. It was good to have the use of binoculars and entertaining safety procedure message. The tourist information very helpful with timetables etc and the bus service was reliable and for those of us that do not have a car it was very easy to get around.

The hotel offered good value for money. We did have a slightly unfortunate start when we were told all guests needed to check in by 9.00 P.M. but we managed to work around this (Our fellow guests were not due until 11.00). This was not explained on the booking. After this the staff were excellent and breakfast was great. One small coment on the room I have, is that the bathroom needed upgrading. It felt a little tired and the shower was difficult to use given the slope of the roof, which made it impossible to stand up in.

Location

Skye was fantastic and the people very friendly.

Location

Location was supurb, handy walking distance to all in town, and view unbelievable. Very relaxing to sit at provided seat to watch boats and water. Short drive to visit places of interest
