Being a college student, traveling alone to a new country I was a little nervous, but from the moment I walked into Clifton, I felt at home. The staff was nothing but wonderful! They would ask me about my day, tell me stories about their travels, and even made me tea when I was waiting to head back home.
The room I had was called 'single budget' but to me it was incredible. I had a lovely full bed, with a skylight and desk. It was cozy and comfortable.
Breakfast alone is a reason to stay here, so many options, delicious food, and all takes place in a beautiful Victorian dining room.
Clifton Hotel is a reason enough to visit Glasgow, I am wishing more and more that I would have missed my bus and stayed longer.
Location
Right next to the beautiful Botanical Gardens and River Walk, perfect. Close to a bunch of cute restaraunts, stores, and cafes. The subway is just a few blocks down and takes only about ten minutes into the city center. Perfect location in my opinion!

We were very pleased with our room , also with the location at the heart of the west end .We thought that it was great value for money , and the hospitality was fine. Our only quibble would be the time for breakfast ending a bit early ,at 8.45.We will certainly use the hotel again.

The best thing about the location was nearness to Oran Mor whitch we visit frequently when in Glasgow.

Very good value for money, the bed was VERY comfortable and the cost included a fabulous breakfast. I would definitely stay there again

Reasonably priced, great location right next to the Botanic Gardens, clean and friendly, excellent breakfast, off-road private parking for our motorcycle.

Room and bathroom very clean. Staff couldn't do enough for me, even parking my car as I couldn't get it into the small space available. Breakfast nicely cooked and presented. Staff very friendly.

I was in Glasgow for a school reunion of sorts, but there are many attractions and hotel not far from City centre. Main drawback and it is very important is parking facilities. Meterrs outside hotel charge 30 pence for first half hour and then 30 pence every ten minutes, a definate minus point if y ou are staying overnight or even for a few days. Hotel has small car park but it can only take about 9 cars
