The rooms / beds were very clean. Value for money and made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. In a good position a short taxi / bus ride into the centre.

The accomodation was a 15 minute walk to the centre of Edinburgh, making it very accessable. Should you not wish to walk the local buses are regular, with a stop no further than 100 yards away offering great value for money. One thing that was more than clear to me was how friendly our hosts were, Andy and Kim couldn't do enough for us, they was very welcoming, extremely helpfull and made us feel very comfortable. The wash facilities could do with updating, however everthing worked fine, and lets be honest we didn't go to Edinburgh to look at the wall of a B&B. In the room we had digital TV, tea and coffee making facilities and in general it was clean and presentable. The food offerd at breakfast was of a wide range and more than suitable for everybodies needs, it was of a good standard and the hosts are always ready to top up the tea / coffee pot. The dining area was very clean and immaculately presented. If I were to return to Edinburgh and wouldn't think twice about booking up here. Very good value for money and the friendliness of Andy and Kim left me with a very high opinion of the Scottish being good hosts.

Location

We went for two reasons, to have a good luck around the city, visit the castle, attend a rugby match and enjoy a few drinks along the way. Definately something for everyone.

Kim and Andy are very friendly and give every time their best that you have a good habitation. We think itīs good value for money. You have the choise of different breakfasts (Scottish/Continental) and they respect also your wishes. The B&B is situatet in a very good area. Itīs in a silent street and the bus stop is just around the corner, 9 different bus lines stop there and in 10 min you are in the city.

Location

Edinburgh is a very nice City. There is al lot to visit, sights, the sea and many different restaurants and old pubs. We have also booked a trip in to the highlands. By all means we will come back again.

The hostess is very nice and helpful. She served us delicious food every morning and helped us to book the one day trip. The room is cozy and it is good value for money to stay with Clarin Guest House.

It was easy to get to Clarin Guest House by bus from the city centre, and we had a fine stay with Kim and Andy, who are very friendly and pleasant people. We enjoyed our breakfast which was served on time in a very friendly atmosphere, and they told us about attractions to visit. We would like to come back one day.

Location

There are lots of things to see in Edinburgh, and we visited many of the interesting places: Palace of Holyrood House, National Gallery, St. Giles Cathedral, Mary King's Close, John Knox House, Edinburgh Museum, Greyfriars Bobby + Kirkyard, HMS Britannia, Arthur's Seat, Royal Botanic Garden, Princes Street Gardens, shops and malls and several good pubs and restaurants (e.g. World's End, the Doric). We walked the Royal Mile, but didn't visit the Castle as we had seen on a previous occasion. What a good idea to have daytickets for the bus! We spent a lot of time onboard the Lothian buses thus seeing a lot of Edinburgh. We love the city, and would love to come back soon.
