Comfortable, homely, well equipped, ideal for two.

Location

Information on all such features was provided in the accommodation and would be extremely useful to people new to the area. As we had visited Barra previously we were well aware of all it has to offer. That's why we returned!

The accomodation was clean and has all the faciities that we required. It ws well placed close to Castle Bay. The faily who were renting out the property were friendly and helpful.

Location

We went to Barra for the scenery and to research its history. The Heritage Centre was very impressive in its breadth, detail and organisation of written materials. Transport around the island was easy due to excellent public transport. The residents were both froendly and helpful.

The standard of the flat on the whole was excellent, spotlessly clean; very well equipped with all home comforts, a welcome pack on arrival and the nearest grocery store's about one mile down the road to stock up with whatever you fancy. The couple who own the flat are lovely, they certainly do not intrude on any privacy but were very friendly and helpful with information regarding Barra. Prime location to access the bus to both sides of the island. Although the month of March is very quiet, with most of the facilities still not opened, I did not care, this accommodation was perfect for peace and tranquility; exactly what I was looking for. Yes it was worth every penny.

Location

The flat is within walking distance to the ferry, and also the bus service for around the island, you just put your hand out to stop the local bus, also the fares are very reasonable. The beaches themselves are worth a visit with sands so white, do not think I have ever seen such clean beaches.
