Overall it was a good experience, however my room was much smaller (very tiny) than I was expecting, especially given earlier discussions when reserving. Food was good, service was exclellent, and the location was superb. I walked every where and never took a bus once the whole week I was there.

Location

Princess Stree, Rose Street and George Street all seemed to compliment each other with the diversity of offerings - restaurants, bars, stores etc.

The room was neat, all I needed was there. It was warm and cozy. The bathroom was neat and clean, good shower, etc. Breakfast was ok and the owners very warm and helpful.

Location

I chose this B&B for its location. It's near the center of town, you are within walking distance of all tourist attractions and train station, bus lines, etc. Couldn't be better.

Room was wonderful, food was first rate, employees were very eager to help and friendly.

Location

Easy walk to EICC, conference center, and to Waverly Station, both were important for me.

The room was spacious enough, very clean and the hospitality excellent. The only downside (the reason why I don't rate it as outstanding) is due to the quality of the full Scottish breakfast: the bacon was not grilled enough (pale pink and luckwarm),and you could taste that the sausage and the baked beans were economy range. A pity...

Location

The guesthouse was perfectly located. It was near all tourist and shopping attractions and in one of the nicest part of Edimburgh. Me and my friend thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Edimburgh and will definitely come back to see more of the city! We particularly appreciated Holyrood Park and climbing up to Arthur's Seat to enjoy the unique 360°view of the City!

Right next to Princes Street and very easy to find. The owner(?)was very friendly. My room was quite small but had all I needed and was very comfortable. Plenty of choice for breakfast. I would definitely consider staying there again.

Very welcoming, clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds, good breakfast. Excellent value for money given the central location.Fantastic views. So many stairs to access the accommodation - would not be suitable for all. Plugs for hairdryers etc difficult to access in Castle Room.

Location

Purpose of visit was to visit my daughter, so attractions were not really top of the list. However, excellent shops and superb restaurants.

All the people of Castleview were very nice, friendly and make you feel like if you were in your home. Our room was comfortable and with an excellent view, the breakfast was delicious. I hope I can go back soon and be sure that we will stay at Castleview. My son (8 years) told me that of all the places we visited this was his favourite hotel (he didn't make difference between hotel an B&B) and that It would be wonderful to stay and live there. Congratulations! and thanks for making us feel great.
