room was great; service always very friendly and focused to make our stay pleasant; food selection and preparation was far better than expected.
Location
the Castle View Guest House is just perfectly located to visit Edinburgh on foot - the Castle, shopping on and around Princess Street, take trains from Waeverly station and enjoy the Royal Mile, there are also a couple of Cinemas in walking distance.

nice personnel, good breakfast, nice hot running water (important). Martin carried our luggage all the way to the 5th floor, we didn't mind the stairs! In the middle of downtown - great location.

The matress was a little hard though I was too tired to worry much. One curtain had come off a couple of hooks and was too high to reach to refasten easily. Otherwise very good. Great location and staff very helpful and pleasant

Great location. Airport bus stops at end of road though I had to pick it up at another stop to return possibly due to celebrations which the staff advised me of.

I recieved a very warm and friendly welcome and was made to feel at home.Considering it was during festival time I consider that I had value for money. the breakfast was delicious including the haggis!!

A good central location.The stairs are a consideration for the less mobile but it was worth the climb.Bluebell is small but adequate room and the bathroom was clean and tidy with a good power shower.
