I think the room and breakfast were of a very good standard. The people working there were very kind and service-minded. The Scottish breakfast was tasty and filling, giving one a good start to the day of sight-seeing.

Location

Lots of good restaurants nearby as well as pharmacies, etc.

Helpful and wonderful people and rooms that were completely up to standards, especially given the price.

Location

Busstop right in front of the hostel which made it wonderfully easy to get to the towncenter.

The Castle Park Guest House had excellent and really clean rooms with much space. The people were really nice and helpful and the food delicious!

Room was very cramped. Our shower had mold in the grout and joints. Service & food was "acceptable".

Room was good size and had a private bath which was a must! Owner of the B&B was very helpful! Even though we were usually out and about before breakfast was served in the morning we were able to enjoy it a few times. Wireless internet was available all we had to do was ask for the security code which made communicating with our family back in the United States very easy.

Location

We didnt rent a car so we mostly walked into Edinburgh and made our way up to the royal mile. The public transit system seemed like it would be fairly easy to use if you wanted to do that. We really enjoyed the royal mile and took a few trips with Highland Experience tours - definetly worth it! Met alot of wonderful people and didnt go wrong with the food either.
