Location
Arran distillery nearby offering a unique insight with their guided tour
also the lighthouse restaurant in Pirnmill (5mls) well worth a visit

Amazingly beautiful building in the most stunning location Vicky Hudson friendly helpful everything you could ask for

Very, very friendly ,helpful hostess; delightful , original house ( a former church), fantastic view from the breakfast room, excellent breakfast.

the house is in a lovely position, with a beautiful view of the castle and bay. the landlady is also lovely, and is warm, helpful and friendly.

the castle is very interesting, ans the area is great - a bit off the beaten track, but worth the effort. the lighthouse restaurant has excellent food, but you need to take your own wine.

Comfortable, warm in every way including the hospitality - especially the gentleman who served us at breakfast each day.......very good value and quality.
Splendid view from our own little lounge 'up in the roof space' but mind your head at times....but we were warned !.......a little bed adjustment sufficed.
More and more folk request decaffinated tea as well as coffee.....we were satisfied but not all hotels/pubs oblige.

A lovely island.......comfortable distances to cover the circuit in two days....Brodick Castle gardens splendid. Not easy finding 'cash points'...........because some main 'restaurants/hotels' for evening meals - few - and did not accept credit cards (eg NW coast)....so we had to fumble about for cash...but could not find a point. Arran is (would be) ideal for educational visits for schools.....a bit of everything.......(I speak as a retired teacher....The Isle of Wight is the same......(I know..... different country!!!)
