Location
Sterling Castle is a must, as are the eateries/restaurants/coffee houses and pivotal location to other tourist destinations such as The Wallace Monument, the old town and Lochs.

My room was extremely confortable and clean. Laura, the hostess was so nice and she gave me lots information about what to visit in Stirling.
Breakfast was superlative and I think Castlecroft is one of the best b&b that I've ever visited.

The house and accomodation was beautiful and to the highest standard, comfortable and friendly with every modern convenience. The view of the castle from the front garden was amazing, as were the views from the lounge which is in a lofty position and has windows on three sides.Probably one of the very best B and B's I have ever stayed in. The owner was a delightful lady and I had a very enjoyable conversation with her. Highly recommended, I will be staying there again next time I venture North of the border.
Location
Sterling has much to attract the visitor, allow a good amount of time to see the castle and the regimental silverware and great hall are worth attention. The town is a bit of an undiscovered jewel in my opinion, lovely architecture and as the April blossom was much in evidence at the time of my visit, quite beautiful.

Tray of tea and biscuits on arrival - even though our time of arrival had not been finalised
Facilities exactly to our taste -recently refurbished - very clean and tidy - tasteful decor
Fantastic outlook from the sitting room
Good guide books available plus information and personal recommendations about what to see, where to eat etc.
Laura (our hostess) was most helpful and friendly with an easy and charming manner - nothing was too much trouble
Lovely area to sit and relax outside the bedroom acessed through patio doors
The breakfast was the best and most generous of the 3 places we stayed during our visit to Scotland - delicious homemade bread too! Great value for money
Would definitely return to Stirling - if only to stay at Castlecroft!!
The nearby paths into town and to the castle were so convenient - no need to take the car.
