Location
I visited Castel on Edinburgh, Arthur's Seat, Portobello, Loch Ness and we visited London, but our opinion Edinburgh more beautiful than London.

The location, house, breakfast were great. The room very large and clean and beds very comfortable. Only thing is that our bathroom was downstairs (we were 1st floor) so that was a bit unpractical - but some rooms have their own bathroom.
The hostess is very kind.
Location
1 min walk from buses, and buses are 15 min. from Edinburgh city center (very frequent buses). So great location.
Rooms have a direct view of Arthur's seat so we can walk there from the house

The standard of the rooms (for us and our sons) was very good.
Msr. Birnie was very kind and caring.
Location
Scotland is very nice.
We visit Edinburgh, the west coast (Cullean Castle) and the highlands.

Casa Buzzo is run by a gentle Lady, Luisa (Italian origins), who does her best to make the guest at ease. I stayed there for 8 nights and I really felt at home. I had an accident and Luisa gave me every detail to get help and to recover (nothing serious, but annoying when you are away).
Excellent breakfast; you can choose between a Scottish, a British or a continental one. I usually preferred the last, but I tried the Scottish once and I appreciated porridge twice.
The room is clean (change of towels & bed linen the 2nd day), though the furniture is quite old-fashioned. Unfortunately my bathroom was not ensuite, and without shower (which was downstairs), but it was not a big problem. Free Wi-Fi connection, though a bit slow, was highly appreciated.
I liked the position: not really in the centre of town, but absolutely easy to reach it. Just round the corner there is the bus stop which takes you to Princes Street in 10 minutes. I often preferred to walk and it took not more than 20-25 minutes. It's a residential area in Newington, not far from some commercial centres and a stone's throw from Salisbury Arms, an outstanding pub, which I warmly recommend. If you are both Catholic or Protestant, there are Masses and Sunday services just some steps from the B&B.
Location
Edinburgh is one of the most charming, magic towns of Northern Europe. A 4-day stay (say, Thursday-Sunday) is sufficient; the more time, the better.
