I have noted from previous reviews that of the longstanding points raised at this property, several recurring items have not been attended to such as a lack of wardrobe space and a broken blind in the living area. The cottage itself was comfortable, the bathroom was good and the kitchen very well equipped.

Location

Ideal location for access to the city centre. All local amenities first class.

We enjoyed our stay at Carlton Terrace Mews. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were mainly quite comfortable, but we do feel that some aspects of the cottage could be improved. In the bedrooms there was nowhere to hang clothes - no wardrobes or hanging rail. Some of the light fittings weren't working, this made it particularly difficult to enter the security code when returning to the cottage after dark. A doormat is needed by the front door, as the hall carpet is getting quite soiled, especially after all the wet weather. We were unable to drop one of the blinds in the lounge area, which affected our privacy. The rug in the living area is a safety hazard.

Location

The cottage is in a ideal location, just on the edge of the main tourist area. Quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, but within walking distance to Princes Street for shopping and High Street and surrounds where all the fun of the Fringe Festival takes place - our purpose for the visit to Edinburgh.

The cottage has excellent facilities and is in a quiet and very pleasant location. We thought it was good value for money, and the owner was very helpful. Somewhere to hang clothes would be good: we came up for a graduation with formal and evening wear but could not find anywhere except the broom cupboard with a hangrail. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend to friends. Many thanks.

The accommodation was clean and well equipped. The furnishings however were generally of a basic standard, especially the beds. Otherwise it was fully functional . Access arrangements were very good and worked well. It should be noted the garage is small and will not fit a meduim sized car or bigger. The parking is free for the weekend, but no visitor arrangements exist for mid-week and this could be problematic (and costly) re parking. The location is quiet and attractive. We will definately use again.

Location

Excellent location for both the old (venues) and new (shopping)town. We walking in each day approx 15-20 min.

Excellent location, nice accommodation in an attractive mews, very useful to have a garage (although it's very narrow). Apartment was made up incorrectly, the owner was contacted and she came round but offered no welcome or apology. A blind fell down when I tried to open it, the owner said she would be round that day to fix it but when we left 5 days later she had not been. Information folder had been printed in 2004 so was all out of date.

Location

Easy walking distance from the Scottish Parliament, worth taking the tour of the building.

It's a great place and a good central location, a short walk from the centre of town. There's just a few tiny details that could be improved like providing tea towels, leaving the heating on for the occupants to regulate, and doing a few DIY jobs around the place. But on the whole a very nice cottage.

Everything was perfect relating to accommodation, value for money etc. Better communication prior to our visit concerning entry to the premises would have been appreciated
