Bathroom: door could not be closed and inner light was broken. Breakfast: tomatoes very bad (tinned tomatoes which were horable) and also the bacon was bad quality. Payment: we had to pay in advance, immediately after arrival and without having seen the room !! General remark: price/quality far out of ballance!

clean , reasonable price , reasonable location , bins were not emptied daily , no fresh towels , didnt top up the refreshments i.e milk , tea bags (plus tea bags cheap), Breakfast not the same as stated on the web site , didnt really do a vegi breakfast

Room was tired,en-suite was far too small!also toilet door did not close!breakfast was awful and not at all worth the money,would never go back!Shame as the location was very nice.

we believe that the size and standard of the room was not to a 3 star rating. The doule bed was pushed up to the wall and caused difficulty getting into and out of in respect of the other person. there was no room for the suitcases that we travelled with and a cramped feeling was evident, had we known what was in store for us we would not have made a two night stay when we booked in australia. breakfast served with micro-waved bacon was in adequate, and tin tomatoes we thought not acceptable .

Location

the guest house position in relation to easy access to the city was very good. Also the research I managed to complete at the Registry in Edinburgh was most fruitful in my family tree exploits.

The bus stop was right outside the guest house. That was great. Get that 3 pound day pass for the bus and you are all set. I like the part across the street. I enjoyed watching the kids playing soccer on Sunday morning. The church of Scotland was right up the street as well. I enjoyed the 11 am service as well. The room, smaller than my walk-in closet, was not cleaned or the bed made. I was only there two nights, but..... The breakfast was very good and plenty of food. And honestly, the family very nice. The place was inexpensive so hey.

Location

I stayed at two guest homes in Edinburgh. One in the North part of the town, and this one, near the Port of Leith. I liked the change of scenery.

Based on the charge rate, Camerons Guest House provided the best services to its visitors including the delicious and hot breakfast, confortable bed and always kind attitude.

The room was clean and nice, but the mattresses were a little uncomfy. Nevertheless the establishment has a good price performance ratio,the breakfast is good and it's only a short bus drive away from the city centre.

Location

We went to the Camera Obscura which can be found next to the Castle. It's like a museum about optical illusions and you can do many crazy and very amusing things there. It's really worth visiting and great fun for children and adults. We also went on a Ghost and Torture tour which was absolutely amazing,interesting and impressive.

The first room we were given was small and the bathroom was unacceptable. Reception said they were full so we asked for our money back she then said someone had just left and if we waited we could have this room, much bigger but bathroom out in the passage way, we said fine and waited. Bed old and springy, breakfast oily not what was asked for. Will never go there again or recommend the place to any one.

The City is fab, the entertainment was fantastic. Love the City will return.
