Briarly House has large comfortable rooms, a excellent and tart breakfast and warm welcoming hosts. Morays and Kenneth offered helpful advice on touring Edinburgh..

Location

In addition to Edinburgh Caslte, Holyrood Palace, the Fringe Festival in August. I would recommend visiting the Botanical Gardens ,( a recommendation of our hostess.

We have been travelling through the highlands and got to know several places along the way. this establishment was by far the best. the overall accommodation was so relaxing and quiet, beautifully decorated. Rooms were very clean and all our needs were fulfilled . The hosts were extremely kind and hospital , all our requests and questions were answered. The price was very fair and I truly think it is a place I would like to stay in again. Although it is not city center, the transportation to city is very easy and convenient.

Location

the Sandeman's tours of the city are highly recommended,

Room 2 was quiet (as requested )was spacious, very clean and the shower was lovely. it was a nice view from the bedroom. The hospitality was friendly and excellent variety of food for breakfast. It was very good value for money. We would stay there again and to recommend it.

Location

Scottish dancing on Friday night at Ghillie Dhu was fun, very energetic and great to meet new people. The meal was good. The day buss passes were good value for money and Edinburgh was easy to get around. Not impressed by the food, slow service or music at the Jam Club. Edinburgh castle, Tartan Mill, St Giles cathedral, the Royal Mile with the whisky tasting pub which has very good meals, and the Jazz bar are well worth visiting

The lady of the house was very pleasent and made us welcome. The breakfast was ok,the room we were in was nice and quite but it looked tired and in need of refurbishment. Briarley House is in need of an overhall both inside and out. The drive and parking were just acceptable, not much room and drive itself needs the hedges cutting back. Good location and very handy for buses into Edinburgh.
