We were met with a warm friendly welcome on arrival and immediately shown to our room. The standard of the accommodation is very high and although perhaps a bit more expensive than others it is well worth it. Breakfast was also of high quality and was thoroughly enjoyed. Care has to be taken when accessing the property with a vehicle as the entrance is quite narrow and also parking space is rather limited.

Location

We stayed here only one night as we were going to Murrayfield Stadium so did not spend a lot of time in the city.

We had a very nice short stay in Briarley House. The host, Morag was very helpful, the breakfeast was nice and the rooms good. The location is good for buses into town and a short walk to some eating places.

Location

We had dinner at Toby Carvery Edinburgh West, quite nice for a quick meal, we also had dinner at Meze Meze, 71 Rose St, Edinburgh, excellent food. We visited the The Real Mary King's Close, well worth a visit and The Falkirk Wheel, that was very interesting. We did also go to National Museum of Flight Scotland, had some problem in finding it but worth a visit.

A lovely welcome, a great bedroom (although only 2 of us) and excellent breakfast to start the day. A great location for Edinburgh Centre etc with a bus stop just along the road where buses are all to frequent to avoid parking in the city. If using SatNav be aware that the property is offset on St Johns Road about 300 yards from the Corstophine road/ St John Road traffic lights travelling towards Edinburgh. The owners are very knowledgeable about the area and were great hosts

Location

A couple of places to eat in the Corstophine village (Toby Carvery and Weatherspoons) that do the job. Its not as close to Murray field as you think and may take a good 20 walk to get there (£1.30 on bus 5 minute ride)
