We stayed in the very nicely furnished en-suite "State" room with a 4 poster double bed and a fantastic view over Oban. The hospitality of the hosts and their constant effort to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable was just outstanding. Listing all the "little thing" which make you feel like being at home would be too much, but it starts from disposable shaver, shaving gel, tooth paste, etc. over a TV/DVD set w/ a choice of DVDs and ends w/ a glas of whiskey & peanuts every evening. The breakfast is just exceptional great & plenty. Besides a buffet incl. plenty of fruits each guest gets served w/ an individual choice of high quality food! We can not think of a better place to stay!

Location

Oban itself is a nice place w/ a cute harbour, a whiskey distillery (we can strongly recommand to take a tour!) and some good restaurants. Also recommandable is a 1 day tour to Easdale, south of Oban.

We used the Macdonald room which was very nice indeed. The provision of 'extras' in the bathroom particularly was striking. (Eg Towelling robes, shaving kit and tampax) The glass of whisky and Julie Groves welcome were refreshing! Yes, the steps from the private parking area to the house were certainly steep as advertised and if anything, the room was a little tight but not cluttered with all of the facilities but nothing to complain about. We would recommend it to friends and would happily stay longer than we did. Tony and Angela Perry.

We have visited Brirbank before and were made very welcome yet again. The room was one we had used before and had been improved with new shower. I like the little touches in the bathroom; robes, tissues spare shower gels and shampoos in case you forgot to pack them. The selection of teas and coffee in the room is great too.

Location

Oban is always lovley
