Cable car ride to Ben Nevis would have been wonderful but they only opened at 10:30....
We were on a strick schedule to get up North.

My review can unfortunately only be in the middle scale, as I had booked two rooms, one having been excellent, the second poor. The better room was on the 1st floor with a beautiful view over the loch and Ben Nevis. It was beautifully presented and our host even gave us a bigger duvet for our double bed. The room was very bright and warm. The second room was on the ground floor with a view of the parking lot. The room itself was rather cold due to its location on the ground floor and rather dark as well. The bathroom floor of this second room was dark and reminded me of a school gym. If we"d had two rooms like the one upstairs, my rating would have been outstanding, as the hosts were really friendly, the breakfast was plentyful and offered a good choise.

Good basis for travels through the highlands. We did day trips to the Isle of Skye, on the Jacobite Steam Train to Mallaig, to Glencoe and Eilean Donan Castle.

We visited Skye by ferry and loved it. We also toured aroung Fort William and loved the walking and the views. We came by train and picked up a car at the station. Easydrive met us there and allowed us to drop our car at the sation on completion.
