Visitor Reviews of Botanic Hotel - Overall Rating 2.4

Quite small rooms that could have been cleaner. Very small bathroom with one small piece of soap to share with 3 people. We had a room overlooking Great Western Road and the traffic noise was quite disturbing. Breakfast was ok but could have been a wider choice of things.
Overall ok; I would return but only after looking for another place first.

The bed was quite narrow for two, the shower was miserable. There was only a small bit of soap no shampoo etc. at all. Two cups for tea but only one plate. No space for clothes.
Location
Location was good, near the University.

I could criticize the low ceiling, tiny floor space and bathroom in full view of reception - but on the other hand it was reasonable for the price.
However, your catering staff need to learn what is expected of a scottish breakfast.

pleasant and clean; nice straightforward breakfasts; room was very small (even for Europe)--shower didn't even have room for a soap dish!; big steep staircases too may be a problem for some people
Location
obviously the Botanic Gardens (which are beautiful), and very close to University of Glasgow
