We found a warm welcome, spacious rooms and a delicious breakfast at the Blossom House. Although we had only booked "with shower included" we were given en-suite rooms without any extra charge. The owner was friendly and helpful in all concerns, he even called a cab for us and allowed us to stay for hours after check-out to wait for it.

Location is very good reachable by bus. Room was clean. The bed was too small and the matress too old for comfortable sleeping. German sender on TV would be nice to have. breakfast was ok.

The property was close to the city by bus with a very regular bus service to and from the city centre only taking 7 - 10 minutes depending on the traffic. Our room was very big and satisfactory and was the family room but not anything special apart from the size. I was expecting a more traditional style B&B and so was our travelling companion who was on holidays from Australia and staying in a small double as a single room. If you are expecting a twee traditional chintz B&B this is not the place for you. This property is a standard guest house and completely satisfactory for a visit to Edinburgh. The price reflects this and if you want something more traditional for the same price you will need to stay further out of town.

Location

As stated above this is close to the city in relation to B&B locations in Edinburgh which are out of town. This property is one of the closest to town and on a busy road with many buses and taxis. The owners are very nice and extremely helpful with any enquiry and will give assistance whenever possible.

Very crowded room -- not large enough to be offered as a family room; 4th bed was a very uncomfortable bed: bathroom was minuscule and unsatisfactory for 4 people.

Location

Edinburgh was very enjoyable, in spite of the disappointing accommodation.
