The room was lovely, comfortable and very clean. It was good value for money and a fantastic breakfast. We visited on a very wet weekend and the only thing that let us down was the heating was never on to dry out our clothes.

The Beechgrove Guest House is great, the owners are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and the choice for breakfast is great, would suit any taste. Very well organised, clean, comfortable, well situated. I will definitely recommend it and hope to return for another visit next summer.
Location
The location of the Beechgrove is about 5-10 mins walk into the centre of town. We arrived at the end of the season, so most bars etc were fairly quiet. We did manage a trip to Mull on the ferry, would have been much better if the weather had been good, but that didn't spoil our visit to what is a very picturesque island.

The service and room where excellent, how ever, I didn't have any hot running water in the bathroom, and found the coffee making facilities in the bedroom awkward to reach in the wardrobe. The breakfast for superb. The location was ideal for town centre, close to pubs, eating places and local attractions, plus a stone throw away from water front. Overall, I would recommend this b & b to my friends and family. The owners where friendly and welcoming.

This was like a home from home but better, the food was fantastic and you were able to choose from a wide selection of what you wanted for breakfast. 5 mins walk into the town, so close enough to get there quickly and far enough away that you get peace and quiet. We only stayed 2 nights and our room was freshened on the 2nd day. I have stayed in posh hotels and some of the pale in comparison to the experience we had. We will most definatley be staying again! The only think i would say is that because of the steps up to the house it may not be suitable for people that struggle with steep steps. The owners are lovely people and have lots of information about the area and places to visit.
Location
You have to take the time to go to the restauraunt on Kerrera, its a unique experience though because the restauraunt is in a large tent i would recomend taking a fleece, the food was gorgeous and very very reasonable. The chippy on george street is one of the best i have ever tasted. Cod supper is my reccomendation and if you like your seafood you should check out the wee van that does lobster and langoustine for £7 near the ferry port, it was beautifully cooked and a bargain. We also went to cuan Mor on the main street, the shank of lamb i had was delicious, a bit more expensive than kerrera but still very reasonable, and last but not least you have to have an ice cream from the pokey hat ice cream shop, the ferrero rocher one is out of this world.
