Room was clean and comfortable. Hosts were hospitable and the accommodation was close to all attractions.

Location

You will have a fifteen minute walk into the centre of the new part of the city or a two minute walk to Leith Walk and the many buses that service this area and the city. Expect to pay 2 pounds 4o pence each adult from Pilrig church to city. Balmoral Guest House is well placed for visits to city attractions / Leith Shore / Botanic Gardens.

The room was very well furnished and extremely clean. Good value for money. All facilities were available and in full working order. The breakfast was great with a good choice of food on offer. The couple are wonderful and very friendly but retaining that professional touch. Will certainly use the Balmoral again. Very impressed.

Location

It is in prime location for most of what Edinburgh has to offer. I am originally from Leith, Edinburgh and that is one reason why I chose Pilrig Street. I know it is a great location and very central for most things.

Superb accomodation, very spacious room with a large ensuite. Also the cleanliness in the room and whole house was excellent. The only thing was that the breakfast was a little on the small side faily basic with cheap sausages and no little extras like hash browns black puddings. It would't deter us from visiting it again as it was such a lovely house with very nice and helpful owners. A very pleasant stay, would reccomend!!

Location

I would say the location is fairly central, about a good 15-20 mins walk. However it is situated on the main bus route.

We had a large room which was nicely decorated, very clean and pleasant. The hospitality was excellent -- plentiful and tasty breakfasts in the lovely dining room and helpful tourist advice. It was a wonderful place to come back to after a full day of walking our feet off in Edinburgh!

Location

The location was great as it was quieter than staying downtown, yet so convenient to the numerous buses that serve Edinburgh. We were able to take buses to wherever we wanted to go whether it was Old Town, New Town or out to the Royal Yacht Britannia. There are stores and restaurants just down the street should one need supplies or just a quieter evening. We had a great dinner at the Tailend Fish Restaurant and Bar which is about a block away.
