It was such a warm and friendly welcome. (Even if we were late) Too bad that we just stayed for one night. But I´m sure we will visit Balloch B&B again. It was a highlith of our tour. Great Breakfast, nice rooms, absolut great hospitality and a perfect hostess !!! Thank you Mrs. Campbell !!!

Location

The Isle of Skye is wonderful and Portree is a lovely place to stay. There is so much to see. We just "stepped" in to have a taste but we will return to enjoy and explore!!! You have to love this place.

Very friendly and familiar atmosphere, best room on our tour, breakfast with big variety, and a boat trip to the sea eagles as highlight!

Hospitality and food was excellent. Barbara was very welcoming and friendly. Only snag in my opinion was that although the bed was firm and very comfy, the mattress cover wasnt.

Location

Balloch was very central for all parts of the island, and being walkable into Portree was great for convenience, pubs etc. There is so much to see on Skye that 4days were not enough and we will be back. The Cuillins and Glen Brittle are beautiful as was walking up Sligachan Glen. The croft museum in the north of the island is a must to visit- full of information.

The standard of accommodation was excellent- spacious, clean, comfortable. When a light bulb "blew", it was replaced immediately.Resident's lounge with coffee constantly available and internet access was a nice bonus.Dining room and food supplied first class.Plenty of easily useable car parking.Hostess very friendly and attentive without being overbearingly so.Only (and really very small criticism) was that our room wardrobe was not deep enough and the door could not be closed when used for gents' jackets. If we return to Skye then we would certainly aim to stay again at Balloch.

The accomodation was great, spotlessly` clean, but I would make sure I had a slightly bigger bedroom when I return. The shower was rather small in the room we had. Mrs Campbell was very helpful and very pleasant. Our brekfast was first class.

I,m glad we booked Portree, it was great for travelling around the Island. I had tried to book evening dinner from home and was told just to book on the day, but unfortunately forgot to book , so ended up a little disappointed when we couldn't get in to a restaurant on the Friday evening.
