Room was very good maintained, in style with the house. Bed is good. Toilet and shower fine and clean. Every day service: bed made and new towels if necesary. The busy street at 15 meters is quiet during the night. Breakfast very good and an outstanding hospitality also in advice and idea's for daytrips and places to visit. Busstop right in front of the guesthouse.

Location

We visit Roslin's chapel whit the Lothian bus (1,20). Interesting and a nice surrounding for a walk. And we made a daytrip to Loch Ness. The Loch isn't spectacular but the drive through the High Lands is very beautiful. The busdriver had great story's (as every Scotsman). Edinburgh is a beautiful city. Make sure you have coins when you take the bus. The drivers do not change.

Our time at anytree was very relaxing. Our room was clean and comfortable. Anne and Brian are very nice an naturally persons, who gave us a lot of good advices for discovering Edinburgh. We enjoyed our scottish breakfast, which was very tastefull. At least: we felt like home.

The room was very clean, a little bit small, but well furnished. The dining room was also very nice and a good offer of breakfast.

great value for money. Absolutely pristine. Good breakfast. The only problems we had were that there was no-one in when we arrived and that our television in our room had poor reception

The room was comfortable and adequately equipped. There was tea making facitilties and the Scottish breakfast was excellent. Off street parking is available but space is limited and parking is in tandem so possiblity of getting blocked in.

Location

Lothian buses - £1 single trip, £2.50 unlimited travel day saver - fantastic value. Mary King's Close - underground part of Edinburgh - fasinating tour but pre book. Edinburgh Castle is beautiful and well worth the visit. Rose Street - runs behind Princes St - lots of pubs - Auld Hundred serves excellent haggis, nips and tatties!

Very nice and big double room with en-suite facilities. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. You have to try the haggis in the morning. But the best of all was the host family. They gave excellent advice and support. E.g. where to go and where not to go. They also dried our wet clothes without request. The parking is on-site and free of charge. The Aynetree Guest House is located in the east of the city centre, but you can reach the centre of Edinburgh in about 15 minutes very easy and cheap bus line 44, 45 and 4. The bus station is located directly in front of the guest house.

Location

From the Aynetree Guest House you can easily access the city centre of Edinburgh as well as interesting place which are located outside the city. For example: Edinburgh City Centre: - Palace of Holyrood House - Queens Gallery - Scottish Parliament - Royal Mile - Edinburgh Castle Out side of Edinburgh we can recommend: - Rosslyn Chapel - Glenkinchie Distillery - Forth Railway Bridge - Fife Council Dinner: (The following restaurant require a reservation and the prices are top of the range. But the food and the locations are excellent.) - The Witchery - Oloroso - The Tower
