Large room, spotlessly clean. Lovely and warm which was a bonus as it was very cold outdoors. En suite shower room also very clean. Very good breakfast and excellent host. Free on street parking and frequent buses to city centre just outside the door. Will definitely return.

Location

Edinburgh is a vibrant city that always seems to have many events. The castle and Arthur's seat are always worth a visit.Love to walk through Prince's Gardens and watch the street entertainers on the Royal Mile

Beautiful en-suite room at the top of the house, very spacious, beautifully decorated, top quality pure cotton bathroom & bed linen, very hard standard of cleanliness, excellent choice of tea/coffee in room, perfect cooked breakfast, close to amenities, very hospitalable proprietors, excellent value for money, will definitely be back. Even Alex Polizzi, the hotel inspector herself, would be hard pushed to find fault with The Ayden.

Location

20/30 minute walk into Edinburgh centre, loads to see & do. Fantastic Indian restaurants nearby. Fantastic pub found, The Bonnington, about 5minute walk on same street, excellent food & drink, great prices too.

We had a roomy comfortable room that we couldn't fault. It was good value and Anita was very hospitable and generous. Her food was also outstanding and she accommodated my need for gluten free food.

Location

There's great range of restaurants and take away places nearby. The city is easily accessed by bus or a long walk. Also we found travelling to the other end of the bus route to the harbour very interesting. The park over the road was great for people watching and a pleasant walk.Edinburgh is one of the most attractive cities in the world.

Lovely decorated modern rooms with all expected amenities. Host was very accommodating following a booking error and breakfast was good with very friendly service. As expected, many Edinburgh b and bs had high prices for the season as we attended the tattoo and fringe festival so could only be improved by a lower price.
