Fantastic room - very spacious and very nicely decorated. Our landlady, Andrea, was very friendly.

Location

Good location as close to Shetland Museum and Up-Helly A exhibition - both very worthwhile. Also close to live music venues such as the Islesburgh Community Centre and Douglas Arms. Boat trip from Lerwick harbour around Bressay and Noss was amazing.

A large very comfortable room and although the breakfast was a little minimal this did not bother us as we do not eat large breakfasts. Aurora is very good value for money.

Location

The coastal walking, which we are particularily interested in, was outstanding and we loved the little local museums. Lerwick museum was terrific. There was plenty of information available and Lerwick TIC was most helpful. Our hostess in Aurora was of little use in pointing us in the right direction and was very cold and uninterested in us for much of our time there, but she was friendlier towards the end. We got the impression that she is very shy. If so, I hope she gets over it since she created a very bad initial impression. Are there short courses for hostesses to help get over this problem?

Location

Location good for us travelling on foot, local buses suited our needs only being there for 2 days, new Museum well worth a visit and visit to Sumburgh Head was special seeing so many Puffins.
