Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Lovely tasty breakfast, great welcome, very clean and comfortable room and a very good price. Really handy to access public transport for sightseeing.

Location

Easy to access to the many city centre sights on several bus routes or within walking distance if you enjoy walking. Local shops and restaurants within close walking distance. Owner arranged to take us personally when a taxi failed to appear and we were due at an important event, couldn't have been more helpful.

Room was freshly decorated and spotlessly clean and modern. I booked a single room but as none were available I booked a petite double instead (which could be a bit of a squeeze for a couple to share). Rhona is an excellent host and made you feel very welcome. She is a character which adds to the enjoyment of staying at Auld Reekie. Location is very good with bus stop just a 1 minute walk away...and the bus route is a straight run into the city centre. Bus numbers 3 or 8 will bring ypu straight to South Bridge...which is only a short walk away from Edinburgh Castle, etc

Location

Edinburgh Castle, Royal Yacht Britannia, City Bus Tour, Scottish Parliament (free entry), 'The Quartermaster' Motor Museum, Bo' Ness (includes James Bond cars and other film memorabilia), Museum of Flight, Dunbar, 'Highland Experience' (bus) day tour (incl optional Loch Ness Cruise)...its a 300 mile day trip during which you see lots of sights and get a flavour of The Highlands. It's very enjoyable and you wont notice the miles going by....knowledgeable drivers/guides provide lots of local history and stories along the way. Plus you get to meet other nationalities on the bus!

Warm friendly welcome, excellent room, wonderful shower, top notch breakfast. What more could one ask for?

Location

Direct bus service into the centre of Edinburgh from almost outside the door, 3 for as much travel as you could manage in a day. Wonderful pubs by the dozen serving superb Scottish ale. And do visit the Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith harbour and take tea in the Royal deck tea room.

accomodation has been acceptable, room was clean although was quite small ,the landlady was kind ,helpful and very keen to give information about Edimburg. I would have recommended to sb who wants to visit the city.

Location

Everything in the city was interesting to visist, especially the Royal Mile area! the castle is according to me the best attraction!
