The hostess really made the place, she was very charming and helpful and bent over backwards, as we came in really late. The breakfast was excellent. Only thing I would improve would be to have room darkening curtains, we were in the front and the street lights really shone in all night.

Location

Only there for a wedding, but it was useful that the hotel was on the main bus line as we could also go into the city center quite easily.

It was a bit expensive and the room wasn´t very big. The breakfast was fine but could be improved with some fresh fruit. Friendly atmosphere. Close to Edinburgh city and many bus lines just outside the door.

Location

A very beautiful and interesting city, not like others. Tour in Mary Kings close and Auld Reekie tours was very exciting and of course Edinburgh Castle.

Accommodation clean, comfortable and a very warm welcome, cooked breakfast could be more substantial. All in all - would stay there again.

Location

Excellent position for public transport into the city centre.

The service was excellent, the owners were friendly and accommodating at all times during our two night stay. Certainly would stay at Auld Reekie in the future should we be looking for another short break in Edinburgh.

The people who ran the hotel were very nice.

Location

Edinburgh was a lovely city. I also recommend getting out to the coast a bit by car or train if you can. Nearby to the hotel was a wonderful pub called John Leslie.
