My room was warm, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was just next door and spotless. The bed was lovely to sleep in, my room was always tidied up and I always got my tean and ocffee refilled. and the heating was on when I came back in the evening. My room faced the back so I had no noise and very little light with the blinds drawn down just as I like it. Excellent value for money. I was made to feel welcome and booking brekfast in the morning for the following day meant it was cooked quickly and was always lovely and hot. I would stay there again.

Location

I was attending a conference at the conference centre in Morrison Street so that was the prime reason for staying there so it wasn't far to walk. I also spent some days before the conference just having a look around and it is very close to all the attractions. It is close for the Castle and the National Museum of Scotland and if you fancy walking to the Zoo like I did, it is on the way.

Wifi was not accessible in our room and the television was not working too. The facilities are crowded over the room and the space available is limited. The heater in the room is not working/ working limitedly (not warm enough to heat the room up at all...). Breakfast is only available at 8:30 SHARP. I went down at 8:45 for breakfast and was scolded by the owner. The food is ok, nothing really special for me to choose this accommodation again. I am really disappointed with it. *please note a 2 charge will be made for card transactions.

Location

Edinburgh is a ok place with its tourist facilities. Lots and lots of people in the main attractions. The restaurants near-by are mostly in very high standards.

nice and comfortable. Location is not far from major attractions. Good breakfast and the hostess agrees to make early breakfast to accommodate our schedule. We appreciate it.

It was good value, and friendly. Very nice breakfasts and warm room in very cold weather. My room on 4th floor with adjacent facilities was quiet. My only reservation was the smell of cigarette smoke in the house generally, which as a non smoker I noticed particularly when the heating was on at night. My bed felt slightly lumpy but the room was beautifully serviced during the day when I was out. It is well located for bus routes and to walk to the centre and the Landlady very helpful with local information and lent me an umbrella which was really helpful in pouring rain.

Trish was an outstanding hostess and was very helpful. The Armadillo Guest House was very nice and clean. The guest house was close to everything in Edinburgh or transportation to get to attractions. I will stay there when I go back to Scotland. Thank you

Location

Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Found the room took a long time to heat up even when the radiator was turned up to maximum. The radiator would be switched off when we returned in the evening. Breakfasts were tasty and staff friendly

Location

Thoroughly enjoyed the trips. Maps and leaflets very helpful. Holyrood house was one of my favourite places :)

Excellent hospitality, very friendly and helpful. The place is convenient and very quiet. Romms are nively decorated. I would have appreciated a small table to use my computer. Breakfast is good, with menus to be chosen in advance, but starts late (8:30 a.m.) The price/quality ratio is really good.

Location

I really loved Edinburgh, especially the castle and the architecture of the old houses. Unfortunately I had no time to visit museums and parks. I hope to come back with my husband. It is really fascinating to visit a country preparing itself for independence, I read with great please the Scotsman !
