Good value for money. Hospitality good and staff always helpful and friendly. Room clean and pleasantly decorated. TV only visible from one of twin beds. Breakfast a little ordinary. No porridge!

Location

Lovely position for a 10/15 minute walk into the centre of the old town. If footsore, lots of buses nearby too. Great old-fashioned cinema around the corner. Lots of charity shops with great cheap books nearby!

Well placed area near the Edinburgh Conference Center (10 to 15 minutes walk). Quiet room, absence of noise. The only difficulty is that curtains are not enough obscuring. Good hospitality. Good breakfast.

A great accomodation: Perfect rooms and breakfest, a very friendly service and just a short walk to all important sights of edinburgh. If you dont want walk, there is a bus station direct in the front of the house ! I will come back to armadillo !

The room was fine, as was the breakfast. A comfortable stay and good value for money.

Location

We soon mastered the bus system and used them quite a lot - especially useful to get to the Royal Yacht at Leith and also for a short 'tour' of Edinburgh at night to see the castle lit up. On second day we bought the £2.50 ticket for any amount of journeys. The B&B is within walking distance of the City Centre but the 10 and 27 buses stop in Gilmore Place so very useful especially after a long day of sight-seeing. We ate on Forrest Road (near Greyfriars Bobby) both nights. Tip: If you need to leave luggage, leave it at St Andrew's Square bus station. It is much cheaper than at the train station and not very far to walk.
