A great accomodation: Perfect rooms and breakfest, a very friendly service and just a short walk to all important sights of edinburgh. If you dont want walk, there is a bus station direct in the front of the house ! I will come back to armadillo !

The room was fine, as was the breakfast. A comfortable stay and good value for money.

Location

We soon mastered the bus system and used them quite a lot - especially useful to get to the Royal Yacht at Leith and also for a short 'tour' of Edinburgh at night to see the castle lit up. On second day we bought the 2.50 ticket for any amount of journeys. The B&B is within walking distance of the City Centre but the 10 and 27 buses stop in Gilmore Place so very useful especially after a long day of sight-seeing. We ate on Forrest Road (near Greyfriars Bobby) both nights. Tip: If you need to leave luggage, leave it at St Andrew's Square bus station. It is much cheaper than at the train station and not very far to walk.

The room was exactly what I was after and the hospitality was great. Trish was perfectly charming. There was a slight mix up when new guests sat at our table but as soon as the mistake was created a new breakfast was served up in record time.

Location

The central location was great for tourist attractions and restaurants alike.

hospitality was very friendly and helpful

visiting the castle was a great highlight and doing the bus tour (green bus with the live commentary) was a tremendous insight into the city's history.

There was a lack of communication about changes to breakfast times and no offer of an early breakfast even though we had paid for an extra night that we didn't use. I was even told I had to have my son's breakfast and not the one I ordered when he left at 0800 to catch a plane. When I said I wanted what I ordered it was provided in a most unfriendly manner. I would not recommend this B&B to others.

Location

The location of the B&B was great. We enjoyed the torchlight procession and on New Years eve we went to a recital in one of the Cathedrals that was very moving.
