Once the owner's son had located the key to The Stables we were pleased with the accommodation. The chairs in the sitting room are a bit worn but it was comfortable and well equiped and in a lovely, quiet location. We weren't informed of a power cut which lasted from 9-4pm one day, all the locals knew about it. Otherwise we had a lovely two weeks and a much needed break.

Just get up and get out whatever the weather because it can change from hour to hour. Get off the main road and explore side roads, thats where you will spot the most wild life and find the nicest views. Do the scenic route to Calgary its stunning. Visit Iona, Staffa and Ulva. The Wild About Mull Wildlife Tour is brilliant and well worth the money. Its all day with a packed lunch provided. We saw otters, sea eagles, seals, dear, buzzards, mountain hares and even an adder. Brian the guide was very informative. An excellent day.

Shelagh made us so welcome and we felt part of her family. All the little extras like helping us with our washing and letting us use dining room and lounge facilities. We rate Shelagh as the best hostess for our British trip of 30 days. Thank you Shelagh

Mull was a very beautiful island. Shame on the b and b owner who lives in the property next to the Macquarie Mausaleum. We drove up to visit and were told at the third gate that we had to reverse back to the road. (were told in a very rude way!!!) (Rules these people had made up themselves??!!) We have visited before and have driven to the Mausaleum. The National Trust of NSW and Scotland will be getting a complaint regarding this insident as we are both seniors and a walk from the road would have been difficult.
