staff and room were excellent. the food was good but not great.
the bar was magnificent!
Location
Campbeltown is wonderful and the Springbank distillery and the Macrihanish golf course are enough reasons to visit for a few days

This hotel is a little run down, like an awful lot of hotels around the country, but the owner, Richard, and his staff work very hard on what must be a tight budget, to make the stay a very good one. We were particularly impressed by Keith a young man (15) who had just been employed by the hotel who really worked hard to impress. The food was good and the accommodation which we used was excellent. The recently installed en-suite (4 years ago) was Solid and provided lots of hot water. This hotel is to be commended

Very comfortable room and facilities. Staff were friendly, hospitable and gracious. We had a superb evening meal featuring excellent local steak and lamb, both cooked very rare as requested. The bar had a wonderful selection of single malts.
Location
Springbank distillery tour. Very knowledgeable guide who was very happy to explain all the little differences that make their whisky so special.
