The hostess was very nice with us, specially as our suitcase was lost by the airport, she helped us a lot about that. However, we found the room smaller than it appeared on the photo on your site. And the bathroom, though verynice was a shared one. We had very good and copious breakfasts. Globally good stay.

The rooms were the same as it was mentioned and the landlady was so friendly and positive! They were the only ones who could serve our 11 people's request. Enjoyed their morning breakfast. Recommend them indeed!

For vegetarian food lovers there's a restaurant called David Bann. The food has got delicious variety. In Edinburgh city centre.

The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy, and the whole place was run very well. Breakfast was delicious, and the youngest member of the family, little Archie, was hilarious, helping show us to our room. Very friendly staff, and we had a great stay. Super easy to get to, with numerous buses going every couple of minutes. Highly recommend!

Ardgowan Guest House is a very nice, homely B and B, which represents very good value for money, especially for those on a budget. The landlady is very friendly and was happy to offer us a good choice for breakfast, and the food was very good. The room was clean and fresh, and tea and coffee making facilities were available, also a TV. Our room was ensuite. The centre of Edinburgh is a ten minute bus ride away, and the bus stops are five minutes walk from the B and B, with buses coming along every few minutes. Also a sainsburys is over the road.

Edinburgh has so many attractions to offer, and a weekend was not long enough ! I would recommend Edinburgh Castle, which is very historic and atmospheric and which houses the Stone Of Destiny.A short walk from the castle and you reach St Giles Cathedral which is well worth visiting, especially the exquisite wooden carvings of the Thistle Chapel. We spent quite a few hours ambling along the Royal Mile which has so many specialist shops, bars and restaurants, some dating back hundreds of years, and we had a warm welcome everywhere. We enjoyed the street entertainers, especially the bagpipes! We visited the Elephant House cafe, where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter. We also visited Rosslyn Chapel just outside Edinburgh to marvel at the ancient intricate stone carvings. A very memorable visit.
