It was nice to have a single room for myself, (not always available). Garry, the proprietor, was very friendly and helpful, especially with my gluten free diet. I would have been happy to stay a few extra days except that I had booked other accomadaton for later in the week further south. I would certainly book to stay there again sometime in the future.

Location

I had an all line railway rover ticket and Inverness was an ideal location for trips to Kyle of Lochalsh, Thurso, Aberdeen, Aviemore and two preserved railways I wanted to visit.

The host tried to e-mail me about a change is the reservation but didn't do it until we had already left for our vacation. We ended up not being able to stay there because he had given our rooms to someone else. George did however set us up with the Castleview B&B which was not far away. The host there, John, did give us wonderful rooms as a favor to his friend George, so we were very comfortable there.

q.Very good hospitality I felt about the operating family. Friendly and informative about transportation and other travel tips. 2.Too narrow room. There was no chair to sit because of the space.

Location

Urquhart Castle at Loch Ness, which is about half an hour busride from Inverness, was very good. Maintenace and the intention of staff to entertain visitors were excellent.

Lovely people couldn't do enough for me as their guest, but I failed to realise that my room was not ensuite. The price was higher than a previous stay at another B & B which did provide ensuite facilities. That said my room although small was very comfortable and, I had another good time in Inverness visiting my daughter.

Location

Can't say enough about the museum at the castle, always has good attractions/exibitions during summertime.

I had a good welcome from the son of the proprieters at Ardgarry. However, when I informed him I would be catching a train at 7am the next day he assured me he would set out a continental breakfast. When I went down the next morning I found nothing set out.
