Extremely good value for the money. The room was unexpectedly large with a wonderful and large window overlooking a quiet alley in the back. The room was very quiet. The built-in washroom-cell was tiny, but enough for the purpose. Staff was attentive and friendly, breakfast was good. The location is perfect: Very close to the city centre, yet in a quiet side road. You can walk or take the bus downtown. Good restaurants and cafés nearby, pharmacy opposite, small supermarket at the nearest busstop around the corner.
Location
Edinburgh is always a great place to go to - the Royal Mile, Princes Street, Calton Hill (esp. in a wonderful sunset). If you have more time, visit places like Dean Village, the Pentlands, Portobello, Cramond or the Botanical Garden. If you like to get active, climb Arthur's Seat or walk any sequence of the Water of Leith Walk. Or you just stroll along the cafés (for example along George IV Bridge) and pubs. Enjoy your stay!

Ardenlee Guest House was a terrific place to stay in Edinburgh. The 'twin' room was excellent. Two double beds and plenty of space in the room itself. Great central heating for those cold evenings! Service was fabulous.

A wonderful, welcoming and helpful staff, very friendly. Breakfast was super-abundant and set me up fo the day. My room was comfortable and quiet. Would definitely envorage anyone to stay here. Loved the homely atmosphere, like being part of a family.

The house is well situated for all the attractions. Staff are very helpful with advice and giving directions. So glad I found this placer through Scottish accommodation. Thank you!

Clean, well heated single rooms, not luxury by any stretch of the imagination, but adequate for the money.

A bit of a walk to the BR Station, but a little bit of walking wasn't such a bad thing.
