The room was spacious,tea/coffee facilities includes chocolate as well!! Real value for money
And the breakfast truly fantastic,not just the cheese..fruits and special ordered HOT menu,,the service provided by Ardenlee -excellent indeed ! Most importantly the warmth and hospitality of our hosts made our stay in Edinburgh unforgettable

The restaurants are within walking distance and the parks are all around? We walked to the Botanical Gardens ,the launderette
Am impressed with the public transport and the service of your bus drivers.

We had made a big mistake in date with our booking; despite the fact that we actually arrived without warning ( one month too early....), and still were most warmly welcomed was wonderful!! Our hosts took our very-early-tour-leaving arrangements into consideration and without asking we were offered early brakfast arrangements etc. Will definately go again when in need og accomodation in Edinburgh!!!

Friendly and helpful staff, room and bathroom very clean. Excellent breakfast that keep you going for hours. 12 minutes walking to citycentre.This was my 2nd stay at Ardenlee and i can't wait to come back next year.
Location
Some shops and restaurants close by. In the city, a visit to the national gallery is a must.
If you love old musical instruments visit St.Cecilia's Hall on Cowgate, very impressive.

From the moment we walked in we were treated like welcome guests. Our hosts, Kenny and Kay were warm, friendly and helpful and the staff were all courteous and efficient. Our room was larger and more comfortable than we could have anticipated. Our beds were made and the room cleaned daily and there were always fresh supplies of tea/coffee/shortbread everyday.
Our hosts made us feel like we were their personal guests and were frequently checking that we were OK and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent and always served with a smile and we were encouraged to take fresh fruit out with us for the day. We were never rushed out of our room, and were told to come back as late as we wanted in the evening. Leaving our bags in the house before our flight home was a very helpful gesture!
Our hosts were always interested in how we were enjoying our stay and the festival (we were loaned an umbrella for the rainy days!) and were very concerned and caring when we expressed our worries about returning to London during the riots (to the point where we were offered extra shelter past our stay if we were too nervous to return home. )
Waking up to the smell of coffee and friendly smiles was a real treat, and we were made to feel like the staff had all the time in the world for us. We cannot fault our experience at Ardenlee Guest House and look forward to repeating our booking for next summer.

We came to Edinburgh to enjoy the fringe festival and Ardenlee is in easy walking distance to all the fun. Close the the Castle, Edinburgh Dungeon and with great views out towards Leith, and of course, The Stand Comedy Club!

Wonderful staff, beautiful room and great food. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay.

We went during the month long Edinburgh festival - we highly recommend going during this time. Get your tickets early.

First time in Edinburgh so all attraction worth doing, 2 day hop on and off bus very good value for money
