The house was very well appointed- everything needed for cooking was to hand ( not that we did much!), the house was clean, beds clean and comfortable, Having 2 loos was very mucg appreciated. Plented of seats -there were 7 of us - plenty of crockery therefore dish washer only needed once a day, and the drying facilities were excellent. Very cerntral. The informaton left by the owner was very honest and helpful.
Location
The view from the front of the house was outstanding, we all felt we had been fed on every level! The children loved to be able to cross the road and be at the water's side, skimming stones a favourite pass-time! The local attractions were ofcourse minimal , but having been on Bute several times we did not expect anything else. Cafe's not great until we found the Electric Bakery! Ettrick Bay was clsoe and that suited the children.
