nice victorian rooms with views. Hospitality couldn't be better. The unic little burden was the shower. You can have a nice bath but showers are more than desirable.

The room was beautifully decorated and was both adequate and functional. The owner was lovely and helpful with details about the area and the main town area was only a few minutes walk away. The breakfasts were pretty good as well!

We went up Anoch Mor by cable car, but unfortunately the views were hidden by the cloud and rain. Shame but it was still an experience and the cafe at the top had lovely hot chocolate, so this kept us from getting too cold and wet. Also visited Neptune's Staircase, which is a good example of a series of locks. This seemed quite a busy waterway and it was good to see the lock in use.

We recieved a very warm welcome from the owner and Hamish the dog, who was (the owner) very knowledgeable of the local area and the attractions worth seeing. The rooms were very clean with the decoration and furniture leaving you feel that you are staying in a coutry house rather than a B&B. We would highly recommend Ardblair.
