The accomodation was excellent as was the welcome and care taken by the owners. The body of the house was at a pleasant warm temperature, but the guest bedrooms were quite cool for the time of year. The temperature control valves on the radiators were not accessable by the guests. If the bedrooms had been slightly warmer we would have given an 'outstanding' rating
Location
we used to live and work in the largs area during the mid seventies, so it was nice to explore the coastal area again and see how much progress has been made with general economic development. One huge disappointment was Saltcoats, where my wife previously worked in the local tax office. It seems that economic development has well and truly by-passed Saltcoats.

We loved staying in Largs and visiting nearby islands (eg the Isle of Cummbrae) it was easy to get around on the ferries and the scenery was exquisite. People were friendly and helpful.

We could not fault this B&B. Sandy and David went out of their way to make us comfortable and feel at home! The room was lovely with beautiful views, clean and well equipped. The en-suite was large with a great shower.
The breakfast was very good and set us up for the day. In fact more than one could possibly eat! Great value for the money.

We went to a few local attractions and to the Maritime Museum in Irvine? This was informative and there is a nice Cafe The Puffin, where we had lunch. We took a ferry across to the Isle of Bute. We also crossed to Little Cumbria to Millport then had a nice walk to the other side of the island, calling in to the Research museum about the life in the bays - most interesting.

Very homely and clean and tidy. Great value for money. Very friendly and caring hosts who take the time to enquire as to the guests needs and desires. All relevant facilities supplied including Wifi and Video/TV in the bedrooms.
Location
Close to many local points of interest - not too far from city life but far enough to be peaceful.
