Margaret is a warm, friendly and very helpful hostess; excellent breakfast. Suggestion: firm, new mattress in down stairs bedroom; please!
Location
Stirling area is very beautiful. Would love a return visit. We explored Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument. Our hostess Margaret drove us to the bus stop for a trip to St Andrews which is more than the "home of golf". A very attractive town with great ruins. The bus driver was very helpful and the trip through small villages gave us insight into how well the Scottish people are protecting their heritage. We would love a return visit to Scotland; use Stirling as a base and explore in depth.

Maragaret has the right combination of warmth, sensitivity and professionalism that created an enjoyable stay. The house is pleasant with good bathroom and shower facilities. Breakfast is outstanding where you can eat healthily or enjoy a good quality traditional fry. I did both!! I would highly recommend Anam Cara to any other person travelling through Stirling.
Location
Castle, jail, vue cinema, galleries, the medievil garden and Bannockburn heritage centre are all worth a look and add to Stirling. There is a choice of 5 good Indian resteraunts. The town although a little run down in spots has a pleasant atmosphere. Shops are OK. Transport allows you to get around if you have not go a car and taxi's are a reasonable cost. Information on the internet is comprehensive and 90% accurate. I went to vist a brewary at the Bridge of Allen however it was closed, information had not been upadated on the net however this was the only glitch. Opening times need to be put clearly on all of the internet listings as some say open all year round however the actual opening and closing times would be helpful.
