We were very warmly received by the owner of Allan Guest House. The owner was very warm and welcoming in her greetings. She gave us a good briefing of the place. The room facilities included a good queen bed, nice and clean sheets, comfortable pillows, side tables, sitting chairs, a wardrobe and a flat screen TV with pleanty of video films to watch. The attached toilet/wash room and shower cubicle as well as the other sanitary ware were impecably maintained. The hot/cold water shower while fully functional should be improved in terms of its pressure. The toiletries were adequate and of good qualty. The lighting, bed lamps and electric connections were excellent while the room heating system was perfect. The overall decor of the room and that of Guest House as a whole is cheerful. The Scottish/English Breakfast was on time and was well served and quite speedily. It was well prepared and plentiful. On the whole, the hospitality was of a very high quality. On leaving, the owner was kind to give us some tips about places to visit in Aberdeen. Though short, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Allan Guest House in Aberdeen which is only some 15 minutes walking distance to the City centre.
Location
Time was short, nevertheless we managed to visit the Green House which was impressive as was the the Aberdeen Council building. Walking through the well known 'granite city' of Aberdeen was in itself a good experience.

Lovely large and bright room, very nicely decorated, very comfortable king-size bed, in-room sitting area for reading. One of the nicest rooms we've stayed in. Manager is very friendly and helpful as well as being an excellent cook. We think it was good value.
Location
Its an easy 20-30 minute walk to center city, a small convenience store next door and some limited dinning spots nearby. We chose to walk into the city.
