Upon arrival at Airdenair we were greeted by Jill who was extremely friendly and helpful. The hospitality was exceptional and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location of the Guest House was only a short bus ride into the centre of Edinburgh, which was also great as the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. We would definately choose Airdenair again.

Room cosy and clean. Single bed very comfortable but double bed made loud noises everytime my friend turned over in it. Dining room very welcoming and food good standard. I was especially supplied with vegetarian sausages though not on the menu. The owners and her family VERY welcoming and we found the house very clean and interesting. I would definately go there again and recomment this B@B as good value for money. The town was an easy bus ride away which was few minutes walk from the house.

Location

The Dungeons were excellent and quite hair raising in their graphic portrayal of Scottish dark deeds! Very recommended. The castle was also fascinating with access to prison cells and much bigger than it looks. Also the climb to the Scott Monument. However I do think that there should be a notice halfway up saying NO HANDRAIL from this point up. Quite terrifying and dangerous coming down
